We are signatories to the main international pacts of sustainable practices, including the United Nations Global Compact (Global Compact), for companies committed to the ten universally accepted principles for the defense of human rights, labor, the environment and the fight against corruption. We replicate this caution in our contracts with suppliers and service providers.
From beginning to end, our activities rely on the best possible resources and safety systems available. We sail with our eyes open, and all our actions are rooted in our operational safety values: leadership, responsibility, commitment, integrity management, and risk management
This is the positive cycle we wish to promote with our energy discoveries. We are signatories to the United Nations Global Compact and committed to the universally accepted principles of human rights, labor, environment, anticorruption.
We operate systematically through partnerships with various segments of society, aiming to strengthen our win-win relationships. We invest in technology to promote knowledge and preservation of Brazil’s maritime and coastal environment, particularly mangroves.
Over 50% of our Research & Development operations focus on environmental protection. We have invested roughly R$22 million in preventing and mitigating impacts on the maritime and coastal environment, especially mangroves. Our Japi, Costa Norte, PCAP, and Marem projects were integrated into the Partnership and Knowledge in Favor of Brazilian Sea Program, which is part of our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), particularly SDG 14 – Life Below Water.
In 2018, our program was featured in the event SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) in Brazil – The Role of The Private Sector, held in New York at the UN headquarters.
