From the beginning, our best companion is safety. For all the challenges we face, it has been and is present, being taken seriously everywhere and everyone. In our trajectory, we dive deep to explore the energy that the world needs. The time has come to further strengthen our safety culture, for overcoming is always our beacon. Our safety culture has a new Program that matches what we do and are: Deep into Safety.
Our Integrated Management System (IMS) is certified and documented in accordance with international standards ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System). We guarantee the necessary resources to achieve the continuous improvement of SGI and meet all applicable legal requirements. Our systems are constantly evolving, and our certifications attest to our compliance with Brazilian HES laws and regulations.
Our suppliers and contractors frequently undergo audits to preserve operating excellence. We have an annual audit program to evaluate the HES standards adopted by companies working with us. We examine their processes and compliance with work principles and methods, always in line with our systems and requirements. We expect our partners to commit to safety throughout our journey together.
We implement all barriers and protections available to avoid dangers and to mitigate risks. We use risk management tools to identify risks associated to our activities and determine the barriers required to make them ALARP (as low and as reasonable as possible). For emergency response, we adopt the principles established by the ICS (Incident Command System), which organizes short- and long-term operations into a wide range of accidents and incidents. Our workforce is trained to never work in unsafe conditions and report all instances of misconduct. In our quest for energy, our strategy is designed to avoid problematic incidents and accidents.
Guaranteeing the necessary resources for prevention, mitigation, and control of impacts related to operating activities while constantly seeking to improve results.
Knowing and acting correctly, considering issues related to safety, health, the environment, and asset integrity.
Avoiding incidents by identifying, evaluating, and disclosing the risks involved in operating activities to the entire workforce.
Preserving operating assets to ensure a high level of reliability while respecting the projected useful life of each.
Promoting a culture of operational safety and incident prevention, encouraging the workforce to report unsafe conditions.
