Enauta began production of the third well in the Atlanta field – Santos Basin, on the last 21st, said the oil company on Monday (06/24). In the stabilization phase, the new well completes the Early Production System (EPS), which produced the first oil from the asset in May 2018.

The Laguna Star drillship has completed its operations at the third well and will sequentially begin intervention activities on the two existing producing wells later this month.

“The Atlanta Field has already reached the milestone of 5 million barrels produced. From now on, we will proceed with the activities to restore the production capacity of the first two producing wells, and everything indicates that at the end of the interventions the daily average of Atlanta field will reach 25 to 27 thousand barrels per day, with a substantial increase in revenue,” commented Danilo Oliveira, Enauta’s production officer.

Located at Block BS-4, in the Santos Basin, Atlanta is a post-salt oil field located 185 kilometers from the City of Rio de Janeiro, in a water depth of approximately 1,500 meters. The production of the EPS is executed by FPSO Petrojarl I, chartered by Teekay Offshore.

Enauta is the operator of BS-4 Block with 50% stake, in partnership with Barra Energia. On October 19, ANP approved the assignment of all the rights, ownership and interests of Dommo Energia in Block BS-4.

In April, Dommo Energia requested the annulment of the arbitration award that excludes it from the asset. The request submitted to the Paris Court of Appeals refers to the decision rendered in September last year, in which the London Court declared that the compulsory exit of the oil company from the block was valid, accepting Barra Energia’s request.
